1. Do What Is Right
God has plainly laid out His plan for your life In His Word. The Word of God is, our moral compass, the referee of what is right and wrong, the constitution of the Kingdom, and should be the governor of our lives. So, to do what is right in God’s eyes, we must read the Word, believe the Word, and obey the Word. When we do, God’s blessing follows.
God is not happy when we willingly choose to do things our own way, and not His. Because, it is not the best path for our lives. It hurts God’s heart when we serve the world, or ourselves, over Him. And like any good Father, He corrects those He loves who are off course…

As a born again believer, follower of Jesus Christ, we SHOULD have the nature of God on the inside of us. The love of God is now shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, Who put it there. God so loved the world, He gave His love, His life, and His mercy… even when we did not deserve it… The Bible says while we were yet sinners God died for us…
Let me ask you – if God’s nature is truly in us – how often do we extend that same mercy to those around us?
The Apostle James, the brother of Jesus, had this to say about Mercy: there will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when He judges you…
Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies are new every morning.
Like the Lord is full of mercy with us, our mercy towards one another should be fresh, and new every morning… regardless of how yesterday went. Because we did not let the sun go down on our wrath towards someone God loves.
Just like we want the Lord to forgive us, and let go of our mistakes, and make it like they never happened… We should be offering that same mercy to one another. When we do, God is smiling, and the fullness of our salvation is operating.

To walk humbly means:
– We make Him Lord of our lives
– Acknowledge His ways are best
– Die to ourselves
– Pick up our cross
– Follow Him – obediently.
This life is no longer my own to live. Christ living in me and through me. As I am humble, as I am obedient, God’s Grace will empower me to live for Him.
Hebrews 4:16 NKJV
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
According to this Verse, God’s Grace is there to help in time of need. Help us do what? Live for Him in all things.
Luke 2:39-40 NKJV
When Mary and Joseph, the parents of Jesus, had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. And as they did, their Child Jesus grew and became strong in spirit, was filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.
This Verse says, as Jesus’ parents were obedient to God’s ways – the result was – their Child grew, became strong, was filled with wisdom, and Grace was on Him. Why did Jesus Need Grace? If Grace is only about the forgiveness of sin – then why did Jesus, Who knew no sin, need Grace??
Because Grace is there to help in time of need. Grace empowers us to live the life God desires. And we only get Grace one way… living humbly. Being obedient.
James 4:6-10 NKJV
God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God. He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands. Purify your hearts. Stop being double-minded. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up!
What Does God Required Of Me
– Do what is right
– Love mercy
– Walk humbly with our God
Live God’s way and you will not have regret. I promise you, you will not get to Heaven one day and say “Boy, I wish I did not serve God so hard… I wish I would have lived for myself”
